Home Inspection is an Important Expenditure

How do you know what you are getting when buying a home? That is what a home inspection is for. It gives the buyer peace of mind, as well as a sense of what potential issues the home may have. A standard home inspection roughly costs $200.00 to $300.00. (a termite inspection, septic inspection, or other additional items may cost extra)
This is what typically will happen once the home inspection is ordered:
The agent will call the seller, and set up a time for the inspector to go to the house.
The buyer and the real estate agent will go to the house together at the end of the inspection to go over the report with the buyer.
The inspector will go over each section of the home inspection with a summary at the end.
This is the time for the buyer to really get a feel for the home and find out all the fine details to what the home entails.
The inspection is normally done within the option period so that if there are any major problems you can terminate the contract without a penalty.
